To share the love of Christ with under-resourced families in Jefferson County through: resources, parent mentoring, support and accountability.

The second Saturday of each month, from 9 am-12 pm, Haven's Hope averages serving 48 families and providing diapers/wipes for approximately 60 children.  It takes about 200 hours of volunteer time each month to serve our families,   Moms (and sometimes dads) are invited to drop their kids off in the children's program while they meet with a mentor, shop in the Second Chance Thrift Store, and receive their monthly allotment of diapers/wipes.
In the children's program,  volunteers work to share the love of Jesus with the kids by providing  a snack,  play time, craft time, and a Bible-based story.  Mentors spend time each month talking to the moms about their lives and current situations.  Mentors have walked moms through job placements, resume writing, car repairs, transportation issues, homelessness, drug addiction/rehab and have even been blessed with the privilege of seeing them come to faith in Christ!!
One of our moms felt as if no one really cared about her situation, but when she came to Haven's Hope she felt so loved and encouraged  by her mentors.   When her children aged out of the Haven's Hope program, she decided to volunteer as a mentor.  Her compassion, empathy, and knowledge really bless the women that she now is serving through mentoring!
